Seersucker Southern Style Gin Distillery
I am all about supporting local, especially in my South side community. When I heard there was a gin distillery just a few miles away from me, I had to make time for a visit. FYI: I am also a big gin (and vodka) drinker too, so you can imagine my excitement. Seersucker Southern Style Gin is one of the best tasting gins I have ever tried. After my first tasting, I knew I was going to walk out with a bottle or two to take home. 
I was extremely grateful to the team at the distillery for accommodating my schedule and giving me a private tour. Visiting the distillery was a perfect way to begin my Monday Funday. When you enter the grounds of the distillery you feel as if you are out of town on a road trip. The immaculate grounds are also a perfect size for a large group of your friends to join you on tour and tasting. 
I was given the history and educated on the process of the how their delicious spirits are made. My first tasting was the Seersucker Southern Style Gin. It was smooth and the flavors that my taste buds picked up on the most was the juniper, lemon, and a little bit of mint that left you with this freshness. My second tasting was the Southern Style Lemonade. Great for those who love lemonade since the gin is made with all-natural lemon juice. The flavor was sweet, soft, and something you can sip on the rocks on a sunny day. For those who love a fruitier flavored drink, you can add your favorite mixer, tonic, or a fruit slice. Lastly, I tried the Southern Style Limeade. THIS one was MY favorite! It tastes just like a limeade. On the rocks is the way I drink it. It’s made with all-natural lime juice and fresh mint. If you prefer adding tonic and extra lime to it, it tastes great. In my opinion, it doesn’t need a thing. 
Seersucker Southern Style Gin Distillery is in the far south side of San Antonio on 8501 Cover Road, San Antonio, Texas 78263. The tasting room is open Thursday – Sunday, 12:00pm – 7:00pm and tours are given on Saturdays at 1pm & 3pm. The distillery is available 7 days a week for private events and tours.
