This is a home remedy used to strengthen finger and toe nails and to soften cuticles. Soak nails each day or night, for several minutes. Place your hands in thin, loose fitting cotton gloves and allow the oil and lemon juice to penetrate deeply into the skin and nails. Gradually the nails become more resistant to breaking, flaking and chipping.
Ingredients
6 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
Directions
Pour the olive oil and lemon juice into a small glass jar or bottle. Place the top on and shake to mix. Keep tightly sealed, and store in a cool, dark place.
For Dry skin:
Massage olive oil on chapped, dry or flaky skin and allow to penetrate deeply. Continue once per day until the skin becomes smooth and soft. This is a traditional treatment for dry skin and is also very effective for eczema. Extra Virgin Olive Oil also contains complete vitamin E, an antioxidant that’s good for the skin.
