Glacial Mud Masque

My lavender vanilla facial has been a hit this summer; being that its meant for all skin types, women, men, and teens have come in for one. All the products used in this treatment are wonderful; however, the main “skin changer” is the masque. I’m actually thinking of keeping it in my treatments for a while.

The glacial facial purifying mineral mud masque is definitely making a huge difference in my client’s complexions and mine as well. Dull, dry, and mature skins to oily, acne prone and even sensitive skin type clients leave my studio looking refreshed, deeply cleansed, rejuvenated, and glow at the end of the facial. This particular mud mask is made with mineral enriched glacial clay, silt, and contains a special mixture of botanical and organic extracts. The clay comes from the waters of the Copper River Delta in Alaska and the organic botanical extracts come from the Pacific Northwest. How cool to know that one of my favorite products used in my spa studio in good ol San Antonio, TX comes all the way from Alaska!

The glacial clay and silt contains over 60 nourishing elements and botanical extracts; some of  these active ingredients include:  Magnesium, Copper, Sulfur, Silver, Silicon, Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, Iron, kelp, nettle, horsetail, elderflower, yarrow, cranberry, blueberry, and vitamins e & b5.

My clients (male and female) that have big blackhead congestion issues enjoy the warm masque under a little bit of steam. This helps with the extraction part of the facial since the mud is very detoxifying.  Sure, all the facial massage circulation plays a big part as well, but it’s the masque that infuses the skin with its botanical goodness & lightly exfoliates the skin to a much smoother and softer state.
