Sanitkos Casa Blanca Theatre Giveaway

I was able to tour and check out the new impressive Spanish-themed Casa Blanca Theater located at Highway 151 and Alamo Ranch Parkway just outside of Loop 1604. This entertainment venue is like no other in San Antonio and the surrounding area.  The Casa Blanca is the first family entertainment center of its kind; it offers a state-of-the-art movie experience on 16 screens with the best projection and sound technology available, the biggest movie screens in Texas, in-theater dining with an upscale menu, recliner seating, 16 lanes of regulation bowling, a full-service sports bar, and restaurant. The Casa Blanca is expected to be one of the top 20 theaters in the country, from the almost endless list of amenities, I can certainly see why!

Some Casa Blanco Features:

First 100% laser digital projection theater in the world using the Barco Laser Projection.

Two of the biggest movie screens in Texas. They are 90 feet wide.

Four auditoriums will offer full food and drink service at your seats.

Best sound technology available with premium Klipsch speakers and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System in AVX house.

The Casa Blanca was the last theatre designed by the late John Santikos.

The opening of the Casa Blanca theatre extends the charitable legacy of the late John L. Santikos, cinema pioneer and visionary, to the west side of the city. As part of the theatre group now organized under the San Antonio Area Foundation, the Casa Blanca and all the Santikos Theatres exist for the sole benefit of the community, making Santikos Entertainment the only theater group in the world that operates as a social enterprise. Through the operation of the theaters, $12 million will be given to the community in 2016. The fund is estimated to generate $20 million a year or $400,000 a week for the community over the next 10 years. The focus of these generous community donations includes people in need (seniors, special needs, victims of child abuse and disaster relief.) youth and education (K-12 and higher education), public libraries, parks and museums, art and culture, as well as medicine, healthcare, and medical research.

Santikos History

The Santikos brand was built over 100 years and two generations of family commitment to incredible entertainment experiences. The business was started by Greek immigrant Louis Santikos in 1911. His son, John L. Santikos, joined the business in 1950 and took over in 1958 when his father returned to Greece. John Santikos devoted his life to growing a successful enterprise before passing his legacy to the community.
