One of my favorite places to visit with my family is Port Aransas, Texas. Growing up going to the Texas coast regularly, our family growing, and sharing my travel and leisure experiences on my blog, lodging has become a bit more important each time we visit. With the many lodging choices on the Texas island, I am always on the search for something a bit more unique that can enhance our stay when we are not fishing and/or swimming at the beach. Due to social media, I came across the cute and quaint Whatabeach House. Right in the heart and gulf side of Port Aransas in Station Place is where the Whatabeach House is located. As my family and I drove into the immaculately kept property, we noticed its community pool which came in handy when we wanted a saltwater break and boat parking area where our boat fit perfectly. When we pulled up to the Whatabeach House, we couldn’t help but smile as its vibrant orange color gives off good happy energy.
My family & I received a complimentary stay in exchange for this post. All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience. Thank you to Sand Key Realty for taking care of our cleaning fee and our care package.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you know by now I am a mermaid at heart. The Whatabeach House made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in; it’s a combination of a 5-star resort hotel room and beach house with that home away from home aura and extra privacy. (We even had a complimentary cooler care package courtesy of Sand Key Realty filled with goodies, sunscreen, OFF, and waters to take to the beach.) The brand new beach décor themed home has a master bedroom, two guest rooms, living area, dining area, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, large walk in closet, and its own bathroom with a tiled walk in shower. The guest room I slept in had a queen sized bed and its own closet and the emoji themed guest room my family slept in had 4 bunk beds. The walls inside the home are painted my favorite color, the color of the sea. The home also includes an automatic power inflatable air mattress for extra guests, all bedrooms have their own flat screen TV with Directv, and the emoji themed room with the bunk beds has an X-box gaming system.
After our long day of fun in the sun, we were able to cook a nice dinner in the spacious kitchen and relax in the dining and living areas. This area of the house is an open concept floor plan with tile floors, ship lap walls, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances; everything is top of the line. Being that my family and I are business owners and travel with our electronic devices, we loved the convenience of the charging station for our smartphones and tablets. While we caught up on work, having wireless internet service definitely came in handy and we enjoyed playing music on the Bluetooth speaker while we cooked and hung out around the house.
The Whatabeach House has many extra features that will make your vacation even more awesome. Whether you want to enjoy a romantic evening with a bottle of wine, pop some popcorn for a family movie night, or make margaritas for the girls, the house is full furnished and equipped for the perfect sleepover. If you like to grill outside, there is a propane gas grill on the side of the house you are free to use, chairs provided so you can soak up some sun rays, and many beach toys for the kids. My family and I absolutely loved our stay so much, we had a hard time leaving.
