After being on the road for several hours, the one thing you want the most is a good night’s sleep in a cozy hotel. Well, at least for me anyway. My long overdue road trip to Galveston Island, Texas was so much fun and what made my island stay even nicer, was staying at the Hilton Galveston Resort. Located on the island’s popular and historic Seawall Boulevard, the comfortable resort rooms offer Gulf of Mexico views or a private balcony. There are also different types of rooms to accommodate the needs of your stay. Our nicely decorated guest room was spacious with double beds, had a 32-inch flat-screen HDTV, an executive-style desk, and a partial beach view of the Gulf. I was completely relaxed while lounging in the spa robe provided by the resort and enjoyed my hot bath with the complimentary bath products.
What I liked the most about the resort was the location; we were walking distance and steps away from the beach, fishing piers, souvenir shopping, restaurants, and local bars. We even did a bunch of site seeing on foot since many local attractions were nearby as well. You really don’t have to leave the resort to go out and eat; their in-house restaurant Palm Court is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and if you’d like a to indulge in some spirits and snacks, the Lobby Bar is the perfect spot for that. The resort also offers shuttle service and is steps away from the Galveston Island Convention Center.
Since we visited the island during the off season, we were not able enjoy the swim up bar and heated pool because it was closed due to renovations. But, I am looking forward to returning to the island and hopefully staying at the resort again to enjoy having a drink by the pool. Overall, the Hilton Galveston Resort was cozy, comfortable, and with a bit of elegance. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and didn’t hesitate to give us ideas on what to do for fun.

February 19, 2017 at 6:08 pmThis place looks great. We recently stayed on the island and I love being down there…but I was not in love with where we stayed. Thanks for the review! We’ll keep this place in mind for next time!
