What’s New at Taco Cabana?

This week I attended the media night and tasting of the new menu items and peach margarita at Taco Cabana.  Several of San Antonio’s finest foodies all met for a night of fun and food! I was a bit skeptical about trying the peach margarita since I am not usually one that likes anything peachy flavored… 3 margaritas later, I was a fan; they were delicious. The peach-ness was the right amount and it wasn’t overly fruity and made with tequila. The new peach margarita is a combination of all-natural peach puree, gold tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and a sweet sugar rimmer. Grab a few friends after work for happy hour and try it as well as the new menu items. Taco Cabana is celebrating the opening of its newest San Antonio restaurant by hosting fiesta-style celebrations each Saturday from March 11 – April 1 at 1253 Austin Hwy. The grand opening events include:

• Radio remote with 101.9 FM on March 11
• Opportunity to win FREE Taco Cabana for a year
• Family fun entertainment including music, caricature artist, face painter and/or a balloon artist

As for the new menu items, Taco Cabana has added the following:

Loaded Queso- Crispy fried flour tortilla loaded with queso, choice of beef taco meat or chorizo, guacamole, pico de gallo, and drizzled with Taco Cabana hot sauce.

Shredded Beef Quesadilla- Two warm flour tortillas stuffed with shredded Mexican beef, Colby and Monterrey Jack cheeses, and pico de gallo.

Nacho Taco- Crispy street taco shell filled with refried beans, beef taco meat, TC’s queso, shredded lettuce, chopped pickled jalapenos, and diced tomatoes.

Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Taco- Crispy street taco shell filled with spicy Ranchero chicken, crispy chopped bacon, salsa ranch, and onion and cilantro.

Shredded Beef Tacos- TC’s flour tortilla filled with shredded Mexican beef. You can top these tacos with the new TC’s styles: Fiesta style- grilled onions, roasted poblanos, shredded cheese, & avo-verde salsa. Bandera style- guacamole, pico de gallo, & sour cream. Gordo Style- smoked bacon & queso. (my favorite with the fiesta style!)
