This morning (June 28th, 2017) I celebrated the VIA goMobile App Launch along with my city. The celebration began at 10:30 am at Travis Park. San Antonio always knows how to have a good time and celebrate when something new and beneficial comes to the city. The free community event provided refreshments and prizes for the first 100 to download the app at the event. These days there is an app for just about anything; goMobile is going to come in handy for special events downtown, Fiesta, concerts, and anywhere else you need to get to in San Antonio.
What is VIA goMobile? VIA’s new mobile ticketing and trip planning app, available for smartphones. The app is free to download for Apple and Android devices and there are no additional fees to purchase VIA products. With VIA goMobile, VIA is continuing its commitment to offer convenient and helpful passenger amenities and resources. Use VIA’s free systemwide 4G LTE WiFi to manage your goMobile account while making a trip or visiting one of their Transit Centers.

Other tips for goMobile:
- Passes & tickets purchased with VIA goMobile app can be transferred if you lose or upgrade your device.
- VIA goMobile users can pay for multiple fares at one time.
- goMobile provides trip-planning tools using real-time bus information.
- Riders have the option to manage a goMobile account on a mobile device and online.
- A minimum purchase of $2.50 and a maximum purchase of $200 are allowed for payments made by MasterCard or Visa.
