Houston’s First Motorcycle Festival Rolls into Downtown | Bikes on the Bayou
Streets will roar to life at Houston’s newest two-wheeled event, Bikes on the Bayou, celebrating motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters at Eleanor Tinsley Park Apr. 27-29, 2018. This all-inclusive festival will bring together two-wheeled enthusiasts to celebrate music, culture and their riding communities. (5 other things to do in Houston)
“One of Houston’s greatest attributes is its diverse community and we’re excited to highlight that diversity at Houston’s first motorcycle festival,” said ‘Outlaw’ Dave Andrews. “We look forward to bringing the Houston community together for an appreciation of a variety of two-wheeled transportation while jamming to great music and building an overall festival atmosphere with the beautiful city skyline as our backdrop.”
The festival is set in Eleanor Tinsley Park and along Allen Parkway to highlight Buffalo Bayou, the event’s dedicated charity. A portion of each ticket sold will go directly to the Buffalo Bayou Partnership to help preserve one of Houston’s most iconic treasures. Eventgoers are encouraged to stroll along Allen Parkway, appreciate the scenery and enjoy all the festival has to offer.
Event organizers have meticulously chosen music acts for the festival with different genres to reset the mood each day. Thus far the line-up includes:

Support Acts – Drugstore Gypsies (Rolling Stone magazine’s Texas bands to watch ’17), Badhouse (a power trio originally from Houston), The Mighty Orq, O.G.R.E., and Soulshine

Support Acts – Sancho & The Love Tones (featuring Artie Villasanor), Indiginis, Sonny Boy Terry
The three-day event will also provide motorcyclists the opportunity to participate in cruises throughout the festival space and secure overnight parking on festival grounds. Anticipated vendors will include two pitmasters from the Houston Barbeque Festival serving Texas BBQ and nearly 100 vendors with cycle-centric entertainment and products.
This inaugural Bikes on the Bayou is made possible by Lone Star Beer and Jim Beam, in conjunction with Stubbs Harley-Davidson, Stubbs Cycles, Mancuso Harley-Davidson, and Mancuso Powersports. Also, seeking convenience for eventgoers, Bikes on the Bayou has partnered with the Double-Tree Downtown that is within walking distance of the event, to offer guests a discounted package rate of $109 a night.
The 2018 Bikes of The Bayou motorcycle festival is open daily, Friday, Apr. 27 through Sunday 29, 2018. Ten percent of proceeds will go to benefit the Buffalo Bayou Partnership as it restores the bayou after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
