It’s a Small World
Two things I love sharing with my friends, family, and readers… female owned businesses and my South side community. I had the honor of meeting the fabulous Claudia Berteaux (Esparza) at the South San Antonio Tourism Committee. We are both members. As the saying goes, it’s a small world after all. Little did I know, Claudia is the director of sales and marketing and family of Garcia Art Glass, Inc.
I have been a fan of Garcia Art Glass, Inc ever since I saw their piece at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa. Its beauty and colors stand out in the hotel and a sight you will never forget. Garcia Art Glass, Inc. opened up in 1998. It’s the first hot glass studio in Southtown San Antonio, Texas.
Garcia Art Glass, Inc.
Garcia Art Glass, Inc. is family owned and each member plays an important role in the businesses’ daily operations. It takes a team to make the dream work. If you are able to sit in on one of their guided demonstrations, you will see for yourself. Each hand-blown art creation is one of a kind and everyone is so passionate about making each piece.
When you walk into their store and see the glass art pieces for yourself, you will see just how magical each one is. The art glass business has created hundreds of commissioned works of art. For a sneak peek, visit their online store. Their retail consists of bowls, candleholders, drinkware, hearts, flowers, Madonnas, pumpkins, roosters, and platters.
It is truly fascinating as we got to see how these glass art pieces come to life. I was glad I got to share my experience with friend and fellow writer, Pam of The Texas Wildflower. We were able to meet the Garcia Art Glass Inc. team and each one welcomed us to their store as if had visited before. You can definitely feel the warm energy of everyone when you walk in.
It was a pleasure hearing how the business began and was founded by creative director, Gini Garcia. With her mother Dora E. Garcia, sister Dora Elia Esparza, and niece, Claudia, Garcia Art Glass, Inc. is a family story of successful women that should be shared. You can visit Garcia Art Glass, Inc. at 715 S Alamo, San Antonio, TX, 78205 or online at www.garciaartglass.com.

November 14, 2018 at 1:25 pmOh my god, I live in San Antonio and this is the first time I heard of this shop. I need to get on down to the South side, especially since it is the holiday season. My mom would love something like this for Christmas. I’m totally going to share this.
