Today is 9 years that I have been blogging. Time sure goes by fast when you immerse yourself in your passions. I never thought I would ever start a blog. In fact, 9 years ago, I had no idea what a blog was.
One day, I was giving beauty tips at my old job and a co-worker suggested I start a blog. And that was it. Topics on my blog have certainly changed through the years. I finally found my niche and what I love sharing with others.
My writing has been therapeutic for me. It’s been a way to heal through some of the hardest times of my life. It’s led me to some of the most unique and amazing people. Its opened-up doors for me in business and established some wonderful relationships in my personal life.
Listening to my intuition on keeping my blog going has been one of the best choices ever. It even led me to writing my first book. Don’t ever doubt yourself on what you can do.
As I mentioned a lot has changed and I have embraced growth with open arms. The mission of my blog Shine Beautifully is to inspire YOU to make time for adventure, fun, and self-care. These are things we tend to forget to do since life usually has us rushing out the door to work or taking care of our loved ones.
On my blog you will read about small towns, hidden nature gems, wineries and distilleries, and other touristy interests. I love sharing things you can do with and without your little ones. Being in the spa and hospitality industry of over 20+ years, it’s only natural for me to throw out self-care and beauty tips too.
I love our Texas coast, the hill country, and being by the water. If you follow my Instagram account, it’s pretty obvious. And if you need a quote for the day, I tend to tweet out some from my book.
Now, being more involved with my community, the Live from the Southside channels have been added. I plan on sharing good things happening in my community. From events to new businesses to yummy food.
I could write my little heart away but, what’s a blog without readers? It’s because of YOU all of this exists and continues to grow. I thank you for all the shares, all the likes, all the reads, and most of all your interest. Here’s to another year of adventure!
