San Antonio Pumpkin Patches, Pumpkin Carving Tips, & Recipes

I have two pumpkin jokes for you! What do you get when you drop a pumpkin? Squash, of course! What do you use to mend a jack-o-lantern? A pumpkin patch, of course! Funny huh? It’s Fall and that means pumpkin patch time! Listed below are some pumpkin patches around San Antonio. At the bottom of the article, I listed a few sites for tips on pumpkin carving and some sites for delicious pumpkin recipes! After all, you need to do something with the pumpkins you get, right?

Bracken United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch– 20377 Farm Road 2252- Open daily, until October 31st, from 9AM to 7PM. On Saturday and Sunday, there are hayrides and train rides. On October 26th, there will be trick-or-treating in the pumpkin patch. Admission is free.

Bulverde United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch– 28300 U.S. Highway 281- Open daily, until October 31st, from 8AM to 7PM. On October 27th, they will host their Annual Trunk or Treat Fall Festival, featuring a cupcake walk, free food, games, live music and tons of candy.

Christ Fellowship United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch– 10915 Shaenfield Road- Open daily, until November 2nd, from 11AM to 2PM. When you purchase one of their pumpkins from the patch, proceeds go to support their children and youth ministries. Admission is free.

Good News Pumpkin Patch– Good News Lutheran Church- 11020 Old Corpus Christi Highway- Open, until October 27th, Sunday-Friday from 1PM to 9PM and Saturday from 10AM to 8PM. The pumpkin patch features corn mazes, hayrides, a moon bounce and laser tag, on Sunday afternoons. Admission is free.

Milberger’s Nursery Fall Festival– 3920 North Loop 1604- Their Fall Festival will be held on October 26th and October 27th, from 11AM to 3PM, and will feature a balloon artist, face painting, Halloween treat bags and a moon bounce. The nursery’s pumpkin patch and hay bale maze are open, until October 31st, Monday-Saturday from 9AM to 6PM and Sunday from 10AM to 5PM. Admission is free.

Northwest Hills United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch– 7575 Tezel Road- Open daily, until October 31st, from 9AM to 9PM. On October 26th, the pumpkin patch will host Trunk or Treat, complete with candy, costume contests and games. Admission is free.

Oxford United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch– 9739 Huebner Road- Open, until October 31st, Monday-Saturday from 10AM to 8PM and Sunday from 11:30AM to 8PM. The pumpkin patch features, besides pumpkins, a hay maze, concessions and hayrides. On October 26th, from 7PM to 10PM, their Trunk or Treat Event. Also on that day, the pumpkin patch will feature their Outdoor Movie Night in the Pumpkin Patch, from 7PM to 10PM, showing the 2017 movie Coco. Admission is free.

Pumpkin Patch at Pearl Farmers Market– The Historic Pearl- 312 Pearl Parkway- Open October 26th from 9AM to 1PM and October 27th from 10AM to 2PM. The event will not only feature their pumpkin patch, but also live music, a pumpkin painting station and photo opportunities in front of the classic Pearl Model-T. Admission is free.

St. Thomas Episcopal School Pumpkin Patch– 1416 North Loop 1604 East- Open daily, until October 31st. The hours vary by day, but they are usually 9AM to 4PM. The school updates their Facebook page with their daily hours. On October 27th, from 4PM to 6PM, the school will host their Trunk or Treat in the Pumpkin Patch Event, featuring a corn tub, face painting and a hay maze.

The Pumpkin Patch San Antonio– 8756 State Highway 151- Open, until October 27th, on Saturday and Sunday from 12PM to 6PM. Admission is $15 per person, ages 2 and older. Admission includes a bungee trampoline, carnival games and rides, family photo opportunities, mechanical bulls, obstacle course, petting zoo and pony rides.

Tower of the Americas Fall Pumpkin Patch– 739 East Cesar Chavez Boulevard- Open daily, until November 8th, from 7PM to 11PM and features family photo opportunities in the pumpkin patch and fun, festive Halloween displays. Admission is free.

Traveling Loaves & Fishes (TLF) Pumpkin Patch– St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church- 1602 Thousand Oaks Drive- Open Saturday and Sunday, until October 27th, from 10AM to 7PM. Admission is free for adults and kids 2 and under, but there is a charge of $5, per child, ages 3 and older. Admission includes barrel train rides, bounce houses, face painting, games, a pumpkin maze and ziplining.
