Palo Alto College Cosmetology Learning Studio
I have never been a fan of public speaking but, when a longtime acquaintance who is also the instructor of the Palo Alto College Cosmetology Learning Studio Esthetics class asked me to meet and speak to her class about my experience in the beauty industry, I felt honored and couldn’t say no. As soon as I walked into the class room, I was introduced to the class and greeted by the students; the class was small, which made it easy for everyone to ask questions.
Esthetics instructor Stephanie Solano-Menchaca told the class a bit about my beauty history and business and all the other ventures the beauty industry lead me to. After sharing with the students, it was neat to hear about what their favorite things about the esthetics course was, what they were interested in doing when they graduated, and how they were curious about my experiences as an esthetician.
The Palo Alto College Cosmetology Learning Studio has a state of the art setup. From its cosmetology stations, to its nail technician manicure tables, and its esthetics room. Not only are the students able to learn with great equipment, tools, and products, if you visit as a customer, you will receive a great service just as if you were at salon or spa.
Palo Alto College offers certificates and an Associate of Applied Science degree within the Cosmetology program. They have the cosmetology and esthetician program. Monday: noon–4 p.m.; Esthetic services: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:45 a.m.–2 p.m., 5:30–9:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:45 a.m.–noon; Esthetic services: 6:30–8:15 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; 5:30–9:30 p.m.; Esthetics services: 6:30–8:15 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: Closed
In the military? Palo Alto College Cosmetology Learning Studio gives FREE military haircuts Monday through Thursday in the studio, located in San Jacinto 224. Requirements include: your military ID card and the MyCityLinked app on a smart phone. If you are active duty or retired military, call 210-486-3177 and schedule an appointment.
